Music Program Kicks Off with Three Performances Sept. 24
Phoenix, Ariz., (September 16, 2011) – "Community is Instrumental" is a new musical fusion community music series featuring local folk/original music and musicians. Acoustic, percussion, R&B, rock, blues, ballads, dance music, jazz and more will join together this Saturday, September 24 at Shadow Rock Musical Fusion, 12861 N. 8th Ave, off Thunderbird in Phoenix. Three musical sets will be featured, beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Ben Anderson, followed by Peter Tompkins at 7:45 p.m. and Three-Legged Dog at 8:45 p.m.
Emerging Indy singer, song writer and guitarist Ben Anderson will introduce his intriguing vocal talents, delivering a powerful message with a unique style.
Acoustic solo artist Peter Tompkins blends his classic rock influences from The Beatles and James Taylor into a unique sound all his own. His warm, full and inviting vocals are perfect on such covers as You’ve Got A Friend. He has composed original music, which is available through his CDs.
Three-Legged Dog is today’s version of the string bands that existed all about the country in the 30s and 40s: groups that played everything – oldtime mountain music, blues, ballads, devotional and dance music, jazz, pop tunes of the day – on

We have made it through, homelessness, poverty, alcoholism, drug addiction, incest, rape, domestic violence, breast cancer, cervical cancer, skin cancer, heart attacks, and so much more - we are moms, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, great grandmothers, and daughters - we are WOMEN.
We are acting upon our desire to pay our blessings of abundant love and support forward as a way of honoring all of the people, the men and women, who supported us!
This is just one way we can say thank you - because we know what it is like to feel fully supported!
Women who are homeless and or living in a shelter as the result of any multitude of life's challenges are faced with not having access to basic undergarments - bras and underwear. Support Our Girls raises money to purchase bras and underwear and ask women to clean out their closets and donate any gently used bras or unworn underwear.
